Before you head over to H&R Block or one of the other tax franchises, I want to remind everyone that I'm a CPA and offer full service bookkeeping, accounting and tax services for small businesses and individuals. My prices are competitive and you will receive direct personal service from me, no delegating. I have over 23 years of tax experience !
On the bookkeeping side, I am an advocate of Quickbooks Online ("QBO"), and recently completed the training, courses and exams needed to become "Quickbooks Online Certified". As a result I am in the position to introduce the costs and benefits of QBO in general and how it pertains to your business. If you are a business or rental owner who would like to act as your own bookkeeper, I can set you up and train you to handle it yourself going forward (although I do not recommend this if you don't have an accounting background). Ideally, I'd set you up for the QBO bookkeeping and routinely handle your books on a monthly basis for you. One of my favorite things to do is to talk through with someone who is currently using Quickbooks Desktop, about transitioning to QBO which is a technologically advanced way to keep your books. Unless you are a very large, complex enterprise who is in a position to hire an in-house full service bookkeeper, QBO is the way to go !
One of the things I love so much about the bookkeeping side, is that I am in touch with my clients on a regular basis. As a result, we end up talking a lot about tax matters as well getting into their more personal financial and family matters. The ability to help my clients in all of these areas through Personal Affairs Stewardship and my tax business is the exact reason why I left the corporate world almost two years ago and never looked back. This is what I was meant to be doing !
On the tax side, I can help you with tax returns, notices, audits, and other consulting projects. My business model is such that I do not have employees. I believe that something gets lost in a personal service business when the business gets so big that they have to hire people. The one-on-one relationship between the CPA and the client generally suffers when the delegation process begins. Quality control can also become difficult as the firm navigates keeping track of client work being handled by different people like it's an assembly line. I saw this firsthand all those years I worked for large companies and I marveled at the prices that were being charged for what clients were getting. I offer my clients direct personal service, for very reasonable fees.
